Position Overview
Breaking Barriers is hiring but not just any Behavior Technician.

This part-time position plays a critical role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities as they work toward person-centered goals. From building daily living skills to navigating the community, you’ll be right there, helping people grow, explore, and succeed.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Program Supervisor, you’ll:
• Support individuals in developing and pursuing personal, community, and employment-related goals
• Deliver services in day programs, community settings, or virtually depending on the participant’s needs
• Follow through with person-centered support plans while contributing to a fun, engaging, and respectful environment
• Help with daily program operations including job supports, tailored services, and skill-building activities
• Adapt on the fly and maintain a supportive presence regardless of the setting
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) required
• At least one year of experience as a Behavior Technician or in a role aligned with person-centered services
• Must pass a Live Scan background check
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
• Must be able to work independently, maintain appropriate boundaries, and adapt to different settings and personalities
• Must be comfortable with casual language, spontaneous moments, and staying grounded in unpredictable situations

Schedule
• 4 to 6-hour shifts
• Monday through Friday
• Some weekends or on-call availability as needed
